Actalent Hiring for Engineer – Power Distribution at Muskegon, Michigan Full Time

Position Summary:

• We are seeking candidates with an engineering degree to work as Distribution Design Engineers on Energy Distribution projects.

• These engineers will be trained by high level distribution engineers.

• The role involves performing engineering calculations, including structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, fault currents, and coordination of protective devices.

• Responsibilities also include preparing forestry trimming requests, facilitating permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, development of a BOM, and estimating costs.

• All projects are related to electric power distribution and leadership, specifically make-ready and smart antenna tasks.

• The role is predominantly remote work with design development and coordination, while also involves fieldwork after several months on the job.

Field Work Territory:

• West Michigan – Muskegon/Fremont

Required Skills:

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar

• 0.5-2 years of experience in Power Delivery, utility or electrical design is preferred

• Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software

• Proven experience in Problem-solving, Effective Communication, Judgment in Resolving Problems, Routine Recommendations/Feedback
