Actalent Hiring for Tier 1 Help Desk at Columbia, MD Full Time

Required Skills:
Experience with Windows 10

Basic Familiarity with the Basic Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Basic Familiarity with PC Hardware

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and by phone

Ability to write clear notes and communicate technical details in writing.

Requested additional Skills:
Familiarity with Active Directory

Familiarity with Windows installations and or PC imaging software.

Any experience troubleshooting

Any Experience with remote support tools

Any experience with technical writing

Tier 1 Direct Customer Support

• Help desk operation pertaining to low level andfirst response support

o Review incoming Tickets

o Provide the first response and clarification updates to incoming tickets

o Resolve all low level items

§ Domain Password Resets

§ Account lockouts

§ Basic Windows and Office application issues

§ Basic hardware troubleshooting

§ Follow ups with users on tickets awaiting closure

o Escalate tickets as needed

§ Make Contact with the user

§ Gather required information

§ Do initial troubleshooting as required

§ Update ticket and pass to tier 2

Documentation review and updates

• Create new procedure as needed
• Review and keep up to date the file store It Equipment Management
• Asset tracking

o Adding New machines into the assert system

o Removing old machines from the asset system

• Imaging Laptops with production image to prepare them for deployment
• Inventory and ordering for basic technology requirements

• Equipment disposal

§ Recycling old hardware

§ Hard drive destruction

§ Documentation

§ Sale laptops

• Imaging

• Coordination about payments.
