PART 2: Role Purpose
To manage the operation and performance of the on-site Civils Crews, ensuring that all of the works are carried out in accordance with the Contract Drawings & Specifications and in line with the Programme in a Safe and responsible manner as detailed in the Civils Division SOP’s & RA’s. You will be the contact point to communicate company targets and goals, safety practices and deadlines to the teams.
PART 3: Principal Responsibilities

Adhere to and maintain compliance with all Health and Safety procedures within your work. Ensuring you are responsible for yourself and/or team members who report into you

Carry out weekly Safety Audits on the Actavo Safety Platform and follow up the close out of identified deviations. Ensuring best practices are adhered to, ensuring site risk assessments and vehicle, plant & equipment checks are in place and accurate

Prepare and issue electronic and/or paper-based work packs to the project teams in an efficient and timely manner

Plan and coordinate accurate ordering of all required materials
5
Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the up-to-date Contract Drawings and ensure are completed safely, on time and to budget

Review, inspect and approve completed work from site teams. Ensuring work is completed to correct standard, using the approved methods and that measures are accurate and documented as built

Carry out Weekly Quality Audits onsite using Actavo’s Workflow Management System, following up to ensure a timely close out of any identified deviations.

Ensure site compliance with council road opening licenses and to correct and safe traffic management procedures

Ensure all reinstatement is completed in a timely manner, safely and to standard

Report to the Project Manager on a daily basis, giving important updates in a timely
manner

Hold weekly and monthly toolbox talks with your team to give key updates and any changes if needed, regarding the project at hand

Give constructive feedback to your team and provide training and coaching where appropriate
13
Liaise with affected third parties where necessary
14
Liaise with client & subcontracting personnel in a clear and professional manner
15
Assist in the resolution of any fault issues found during other phases of the network construction processes
