As Junior SOC Analyst reporting to the Director of Security Operations, your job is to Investigate suspicious activity in our customers’ environments and provide appropriate responses to contain any cybersecurity threats. Your work here plays a crucial part protecting our customers from cyber attacks. You will also use custom reporting tools to provide security recommendations for our customers. This role, while fully remote, is only open to candidates residing, and legally able to be employed, in the Republic of Ireland.

As a Junior SOC Analyst you will…

• Investigate and contain cyber security threats, ensuring our customer’s data and environments remain secure
• Work within the entire Incident Response and Threat Hunting teams to provide best practice ransomware incident response
• Utilize your threat knowledge and growing experience to actively participate in refining our AI-based threat detections
• Professionally engage with customers verbally and with written communication daily, keeping them apprised of goings-on in their network
• Become an expert in the tools used to provide our MDR service
• Work on a rotating shift pattern that will consist of 4 days on/4 days off. These will be entirely day shifts, including weekends and holidays

We want to speak to you if you…

• Have a minimum of (6) months of experience working in a Security Operations Center reviewing security alerts
• Have experience & proficiency with EDR tools such as Crowdstrike
• Enjoy creative problem-solving and have an investigative mindset
• Are a person with a passion for cyber security and want to expand your knowledge and its direct application
• Have the ability to deal with an ever-evolving landscape, communicate well with peers, and a compassionate understanding of the customer experience

While we know that salary is not the most important factor in choosing a role, we understand that it is still very important. As such, we want to ensure you’re starting with the knowledge of what your offer would entail. Because we believe in pay equity, we do not negotiate salary at ActZero, nor do we offer signing bonuses. This role pays €50,000 per year and is eligible for a €5,000 per year performance-based bonus. This bonus is based upon company and personal performance and is neither a floor or a ceiling.

The interview process involves three rounds. There is an initial screen with the hiring manager, to discuss your experience and what the role entails. This screen if followed by a deep dive into your practical experience. Finally, there is a multi-hour behavioral interview involving members of the team at differing levels and departments within the company.
