Central Scheduler (.5 and above) are eligible for a $1,000 sign on bonus payable after 90 days of employment. This bonus is eligible to newly hired external applicants (current AAH Team Members are not eligible at this time).
CENTRAL SCHEDULER
REMOTE – position will transition to remote following training
Monday – Friday 10:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and every 5th Saturday 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Position Requirements:
High School Diploma
1 year of experience in Scheduling or any of the following related experience:
general physician office support or billing office, insurance office, hospitality, or call center (any industry)
Intermediate math skills acquired through classroom work or through work experience
Types 25 wpm
Basic understanding of web based systems, proficiency in data enter None ~Ability to work in a fast paced environment with established time constraints and difficult situations
Moderate typing
Ability to be flexible between centralized and decentralized registration locations.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts to accommodate staffing needs
Ability to use multiple computer systems at once.
Ensures prompt, courteous service to patients, physicians, physician office staff and participating hospital departments by providing accurate and expedient scheduling.
Accurately collects, analyzes and records demographic, insurance/financial and clinical data from multiple sources, and obtains other information and signatures necessary for scheduling and registration.
Interview patient to accurately determine scheduling needs.
Coordinate the scheduling of appointments for all outpatient diagnostic testing and procedures to best meet the patient and department needs.
Promote a positive customer focused image for the organization by responding to the appointment needs of patients and providers utilizing excellent communication skills.
Accountabilities:
Accurate utilization of computerized central scheduling system to provide customers with timely, courteous, and proficient scheduling.
Work with patients, patient representatives, physicians and clinical leaders to resolve issues related to scheduling patients under Medicare guidelines and/or guidelines of our contracts with payers.
The duties of the Scheduler in regards to Service Excellence will have been satisfactorily performed when: Participation in department Continuous Quality Assurance to provide high quality patient focused care.
