A Foreperson will provide immediate “Supervision” to ensure “safe execution” of Discipline Specific Construction Activities by utilizing previous experience, technical and safety knowledge while working within the FISL Safety Management System.
Labour Foreperson will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks:
+ Perform front line supervision for 8 to 12 workers (Assign daily tasks)
+ Assess the crews’ readiness at the onset of each shift
+ Participate & conduct annual Performance Management reviews for the personnel within area of supervision
+ Ensure crews execute their work within the parameters of the company Safety Management System
+ Ensure crew members are paired properly in order to maximize efficiency and safety (green hand program)
+ Interview personnel in regard to training received (Ensure they have the proper training prior to tackling new tasks)
+ Execute work packages as per the project schedule
+ Perform daily work site inspections monitoring safety and quality of work
+ Report all daily progress utilizing the Shift Work Assignment
+ Initiate the change and trend management process for work that is not identified in the work package
+ Follow the Construction Execution Plan while executing work activities
+ Perform audits of gang-box to ensure tools are accounted for
+ Regularly communicate work progress, schedule variance, crew and safety performance to the General Foreperson
+ Meet and review any issues or items out of scope with the General Foreperson
+ Attend a Stand Up Field review meeting with the Superintendent and/or the General Foreperson on a daily basis
+ Prepare and submit daily timesheets on behalf of the crew and provide them work instructions
+ Prepare a daily toolbox meeting and deliver to the crew at the on-set of daily shifts
+ Prepare a Short Interval Plan (SIP) utilizing the SIP form for the following days work
+ Sign the Pre-requisite form in acceptance of each Work Package
+ Sign off on the Summary Close-out form indicating completion of each Work Package
This is a fly-in/fly-out position and as such will be subject to the Government of Canada’s mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
+ Must be Fully Vaccinated (2 shots + 14 days) – Proof of vaccination and a rapid test done within 72 hours of travel (if you have been off CNRL site for more than 30 days).
+ Starting December 21st, CNRL has mandated that anyone accessing a CNRL facility must be fully vaccinated. Those who are not fully vaccinated will not be given access to site.

1. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Background Check policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check, an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.
2. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Alcohol & Drug (A&D) policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company’s Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM – O&G Business Unit.
Minimum Requirements
+ Minimum of College Diploma/Certification required
+ Interprovincial Trade Certification required in a related Construction Trade
+ Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience
+ 3+ years of Industrial or Commercial Construction Experience as a Journeyman
+ 1+ years in a supervisory capacity (as a Lead hand or Foreman)
+ Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09 or 2020) Certification
+ Confined Space Entry
+ Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection (OSSA issued ticket is the general requirement)
+ Valid Government Issued Identification
Preferred Qualifications
+ Industrial Foreperson training is considered an asset
+ Beginner computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
+ A good understanding of scheduling reports
+ Site Orientation
