Aerotek Hiring for Housekeeping/Custodial Supervisor Needed ASAP! at New Castle, Delaware Full Time

Aerotek is looking to hire a Housekeeping/Custodial Supervisor for a Medical Center located in Newark, DE. Qualified candidates must have at least 3+ years of management and supervisory experience.

This position is a contract-to-hire role with competitive pay and benefits!

Job Description:

The supervisor will be managing 40+ employees/contractors and will need to answer any/all calls and requests. They will provide coaching to their team and assist in training new employees. They will also need to come up with schedules for new employees as wells and make any changes as needed to meet hospital demands.

• Inspects areas of responsibility to evaluate performance of department and determines the need for special effort and/or repairs.

• Prepares and knows work schedules, sets priorities for various work assignments in accordance with established schedules while maintaining flexibility to meet emergency needs.

• Assists with development of supervisory techniques and methods to improve supervisors ability to obtain and maintain an acceptable standard throughout the hospital.

• Assists and maintains days on and off roster, includes approving vacation and holiday relief.

• Monitors labor hours and supply usage; verifies time sheets; assists in controlling labor and supply costs.

• Orients, trains, and evaluates the performance of assigned supervisory personnel.

• Investigates employee related problems and performs personnel actions such as selection, merit increases, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, and terminations.

• Plans, organizes, and supervises work assignments for supervisors.

• Manages all activities regarding man-hour utilization of assigned personnel to include work schedules, man-hours, and payroll.

• Controls, monitors, and evaluates operational efficiency of services, and recommends subsequent adjustments.

• Monitors regular reports of operating budget expenditures, and assists the Manager in preparation of operating and capital budgets.

1. HS Diploma or higher required. Associates Degree preferred .

2. 3+ years of management experience.
