Aerotek Hiring for Pipe Fitter (Shop) at Shoreacres, TX Full Time

A large service company that fabricates castings and other fabricated parts has an immediate opening for a pipe fitter. This is a fabrication/shop setting, not field/refinery/turnaround. Laying out and fitting mainly pipe and some structural pieces based on engineering drawings. Measuring, cutting, fitting and tacking pipe. Possible to do saddle cuts, tee joints, and angled cuts of pipe. Long term, full time role.

Required:
5+ years experience as a Pipe Fitter in a Fabrication Shop Environment

Able to cut and grind pipe

Tack weld

Saddle cuts

Measure dimensions of pipe based on blueprints

Measure angles and fit pipe and structural pieces together

Day shift, 7:00am-3:30pm. OT is very common but not guaranteed.
