About the Role

The digital developer is responsible for the coding, analysis and design of digital solutions, while contributing to testing, continuous integration and deployment activities. The mandate for the digital team would be to enhance the digital customer journey focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Chatbots, Virtual Assistant. The respective Digital developer would be working on tech stacks such as IBM Watson, Live Person, Node JS, Typescripts etc.

They also work closely with the lead digital developer and solution architect to form and define solutions.

What you’ll be doing:

• Design and develop messaging/chat software with latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies like IBM Watson. Some activities include fetching data from AGL’s internal API and customise UI layer to provide personalised customer experience

• Design and develop software with activities that include coding, testing, deployment scripting and configuration in all relevant domains and related technologies

• Develop components to support architectural test patterns using best practice and design patterns

• Translate product owner expectations into fully developed functionality that meets the customer requirements

• Develop high quality unit tests, integration tests and automated UI/API tests

• Collaborate, experiment and contribute in an agile software team

• Contribute to system analysis, solution (functional & technical) design and feasibility activities.

About You

You are motivated by helping others succeed, a technical leader who enjoys solving complex problems using good design practises. You don’t mind chaos, change or disruption whilst having primary focus of delivering transformational customer experiences that meet or exceed our customer requirements.

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Angular7+, HTML5, CSS3, SASS and Typescript

• NodeJS, Javascript

• IBM Watson experience advantageous

• Chatbot (web and/or mobile app) experience advantageous especially using websockets

• Azure experience advantageous

• Agile Tools: Jira, Confluence

• Previous experience working within the scaled agile framework (SAFe) is highly regarded

• Strong communication skills both technical and non-technical

• Good understanding of test driven development, continuous integration and building high quality solutions

COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

AGL has implemented a COVID-19 Vaccination Policy that requires all employees and contractors to be fully vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccination as soon as possible and by no later than 28 February 2022 (subject to medical exemptions).
