About The Role

Products Digital, within AIL, creates, and maintains our suite of software products used within New Zealand and sold abroad. Key amongst those is AirShare. World class software for the safe and effective management of drones in and around controlled airspace.

This is a key system used by both drone pilots as well as Air Traffic Controllers every day. As such the quality and reliability of the software is an important and on-going focus.

Key Areas Of Focus

• Understanding user requirements.
• Planning and preparing software testing.
• Executing software testing.
• Reporting results of testing.
• Raising bugs and reporting issues to the team.
• Leading testing and quality assurance activities within the software development team.
• Organising other team members to contribute to testing, including directing team members, mentoring, and reviewing their work.
• Providing estimates of testing effort required and being part of the team to deliver to those estimates on time.
• Writing, executing, and monitoring automated software tests.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will have:

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• 2+ years’ experience in software testing.
• Must have experience with automated tools.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies and practices.
• Proven experience communicating with developers, product managers and other stakeholders.
• Experience working in an agile team (Scrum or similar).
• Requirement and test documentation skills.
• Experience working with 3D or complex software products.
• Experience in mobile application testing
• The ability to work in a dynamic team and business environment, collaborate with people, show resilience and agility, take ownership, and focus on delivering successful outcomes.
