Altus Group Hiring For Market Analyst at Toronto, ON Full Time

Altus Group is looking for a new Market Analyst to join our Toronto office. The Market Analyst will report to the Manager, Altus Data Solutions, and be a member of a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary team of real estate professionals responsible for the production of the RealNet commercial transactions database, while adhering to Altus Data Solutions standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• In-depth data entry and preliminary analysis of commercial property sales

• Conducting detailed research and analysis on land transactions including development applications

• Collaborating with the team to ensure the publishing of sale transactions, weekly newsletters and data in Canadian publications is accurate and complete

• Contacting and communicating with the real estate investment, development and brokerage communities

• Maintaining an understanding of commercial real estate activity, including sales and listings, throughout the Greater Toronto Area

• Building relationships with brokers, stakeholders, planners and developers to gain support for data cooperation

• Conducting occasional site visits in the greater Toronto area

• Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending industry events, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks and contacts, and benchmarking best practices

• Assisting in the establishing and implementing of data governance and standards

• Completing ad hoc data requests from clients (internal and external)

Position Requirements:

• University degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Geography or a related discipline

• Relevant industry experience in Real Estate is preferred

• Genuine interest in the commercial real estate and development industries

• Extremely detail oriented with strong organizational skills

• Proficient in use of database and word processing applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

• Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty and ethics

• Excellent communications skills both written and oral

• Valid driver’s license required
