Job summary
Amazon Games is seeking an exceptionally skilled and enthusiastic Software Dev Engineer II to join the Business Operations (BizOps) team, helping to build out the FinTech automation tools required to sell our games, apps, and in-game items on internal and external storefronts/devices. The team is working on exciting opportunities to automate the ingestion of 3rd party transactions from Apple, Google, Steam, Sony, Microsoft, and more!

As part of the BizOps FinTech automation team, you will build automated services to book digital transactions into Amazon’s financial ledger and financial payment systems. You will work with internal finance/accounting platform teams to co-develop configurable royalty costing and payment systems that can scale to meet our expanding set of use cases. This work is done using the latest and greatest AWS technologies and data-driven NoSQL solutions. As a software development engineer on the BizOps FinTech team, you’ll play a critical role in how we monetize our digital content and products. Your code will power our ability to collect revenue, account for transactions, and pay royalties to our third-party partners. You will have direct impact and line of sight to the launches of all games developed and published by Amazon Games.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Programming experience with at least one software programming language.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience building complex applications on distributed systems that have been successfully deployed for a large customer base.
• Experience with Agile Scrum, or similar development methodologies.
• Application of advanced coding techniques, such as dependency injection.
• Proven experience with writing design documents, leading code reviews, applying SCM, managing builds and managing releases.
• Applying unit testing / TDD to reduce testing cycles and production support load.
• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, write technical designs, and discuss product strategy.
