Amentum Hiring for Quality Assurance Technician – Trainee at CARLSBAD, New Mexico Full Time

Job Summary

Nuclear Waste Partnership, an LLC of Amentum, managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Quality Assurance Technician – Trainee to join our team located in Carlsbad, NM.

The successful candidate will perform complex visual inspections and dimensional measurements and evaluate to acceptance criteria. Perform a variety of complex nondestructive inspections in accordance with procedures and evaluate results. Conduct/participate in assessment activities. Perform overviews to approved schedules documenting such activities. Perform receipt inspections for vendor supplied items obtained through the supply chain process. May conduct source inspections for site procured products as necessary.

This is a USW Bargaining Unit Position.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• Documentation from previous employer or a training or education institution that validates weld inspection training, experience, and dimensioning skills is required.

• Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be US Citizens.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous WIPP Project experience is a plus.
