The Business Analyst III is responsible for serving as the liaison between the business and IT in translating complex business needs into application software. This position will serve as a product analyst with the Product team within Diversified Business Group (DBG) Advanced Analytics and Services team.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.

• Problem solves by translating business needs into defined processes and application software requirements.

• Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex business needs.

• Analyzes business impact of new requirements resulting from new implementations, regulatory changes, and/or state or internal policy changes.

• Supports Product Owner by creating documentation, user stories, test cases, defines user acceptance criteria and coordinates UAT activities as needed with end users.

• Acts as liaison for provider outreach team, translating end user needs into strategic product enhancements.

• Evaluates applications against stated requirements to recommend best practices for development and training opportunities.

• Creates business cases from problem definition, cost estimation, value analysis, project justification and financial analysis through the stage gate process. Provides status updates to management.

• Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.

• Acts as a resource to users of the software to address questions/issues

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with rapidly evolving business needs

Qualifications

Requirements:

• BS/BA degree

• 5-7 years of business analysis experience that includes knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations; or any combination of education and experienced, which would provide an equivalent background.

  Preferred:

• Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and proven ability to be an innovative problem solver.

• Skilled in PowerPoint and Excel, SQL

• Experience with JIRA and Confluence

• Articulate and able to present ideas in a compelling and thoughtful manner.
