Responsible for providing senior level data management support for chart abstractions and survey projects for HealthCores clients. These type of studies include but are not limited to Pragmatic Clinical Trials (PCTs), Post-Authorization Safety Studies (PASS), and Disease or Product Registries. In addition, this role will support the data collection efforts in study types such as Patient/Provider Surveys, Focus Groups and Medical Record Abstraction studies.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Performs data management activities including database cleaning and lock activities, query management, assisting with developing data management plans, and reviewing and processing data to ensure completeness, accuracy and consistency of all databases.
Develops and provides input for key clinical data management deliverables, including: Case Report Form (CRF) design, CRF completion guidelines, database design specifications, data entry guidelines, data management plans, edit check specifications, and electronic data transfer agreements.
Conducts UAT on all data collection mechanisms.
Provides support and strategic analysis for data management projects, processes, and systems.
Process regular study metrics reports that ensure quality and timeliness with the scope of work, and identify out of scope activities.
Monitors overall study progress daily/weekly and proactively develops or adjusts plans as needed to achieve targets.
Adhere to timelines for key data management deliverables in coordination with the various area functional leads.
Sound understanding of pertinent regulations such as ICH-GCP guidelines and 21CFR11.
Provides process ownership for all Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions.
Organizes and reviews project documentation provided by vendors to ensure accuracy of information and analyze areas of concern.
Ensures development and design of data collection forms are in accordance with study protocol and established standards.
Audits charts to ensure integrity and quality of clinical data and HIPPA compliance.
Responsible for maintaining the project tracking database.
Qualifications
Requires BA/BS in Epidemiology, Sociology, Psychology, Public Health, Natural sciences or related field; two years of experience in research data collection; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Experience with survey or chart-abstract research and data management strongly preferred.
