At ANZ our purpose is to shape a world where people and communities thrive and to achieve this, we need a Software Engineer to join our Markets Risk Technology Squad. The squad resides in the Fixed Income and derivative trading business and have a responsibility to provide normalised and aggregated data to our clients.
As an Engineer, you will be involved in the development of a generic Restful API for Market Risk Technology. You will focus on providing solutions using Kotlin on a Springboot and Kubernetes stack and should be experienced with modern web APIs and CI/CD pipelines. Full-stack web engineers are preferable with opportunities across the full web stack.
The Market Risk Technology architecture takes advantage of containerised deployments that are designed to be cloud ready.
What will your day look like
Take ownership of design, documentation and development of the API and endpoints.
Drive continuous improvements of the system, development practice and processes.
Review all deliverables to ensure quality and conformance to standards.
Extraction of data and understanding of how to leverage the data to create value and respond to customer requirements for information.
What will you bring?
Several years development experience in API development in Java/Kotlin and Springboot preferred.
Experience consuming and producing integration endpoints (services, message queues, Restful APIs)
Solid understanding of end-to-end behaviour of enterprise web applications, from front-end through to database, authentication and access control
Practical experience with one of the RDMS system (MS SQL, MySQL, etc)
Understand how to implement microservice architecture along with API gateway interaction.
Experienced with tools such as Git, Maven, JIRA, Confluence and test driven methodologies.
Other technologies that would be desirable but not essential include: Kubernetes, OpenShift, NGINX, Kong, Authentication flows, web security
A self-starter that enjoys a challenge and working in an agile environment.
Someone who takes pride in their work and will complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision.
Someone who can interface with both technical and business teams within Market Risk and the FRTB requirements.
Who will develop and nurture relationships with stakeholders to ensure that all system requirements are developed and implemented with the customer in mind.
Who enjoys learning new technologies and new ways of working.
