AOR CANADA Hiring For Senior Financial Analyst at Calgary, AB Full Time

Reporting to: General Manager

Advanced Orthomolecular Research (AOR) champions scientific excellence, innovation and progressive formulations that challenge the status quo of the nutraceutical industry. The Senior Financial Analyst position is accountable for the development of departmental budgets, forecasting models, cost accounting, implementing financial controls, analyzing and reporting on metrics tied to the company’s strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. The Senior Financial Analyst works closely with the Finance Manager and Accounting team in preparing, planning and implementing the overall company budget.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the management team on long-term financial planning
• Support department heads in budget planning and cross functional budget work sessions
• Compare anticipated and actual results and identify areas of improvement
• Perform Ad-hoc analysis on an as needed basis
• Conduct thorough research of historical financial data
• Analyze and report on current financial status
• Prepare cost projections
• Forecast quarterly and annual profits
• Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis
• Review accounting transactions for data accuracy
• Support the Finance Manager in establishing and implementing financial policies
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions

Skills and Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent business experience
• 5-7 years of experience in a Financial Analyst role
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting preferred
• Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience preferred
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience using Microsoft Dynamics NAV
• Experience as a Financial Analyst in a Manufacturing company is highly preferred
• Experience in partnering with an executive team and have a high level of written and oral communication skills
• Excellent Organizational Skills
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills
