Aperee Ltd are currently seeking an Activities Assistant for Aperee Living Bantry. This is a part time position.

Requirements

• HCA Background desirable but not essential
• Previous experience of doing activities in a nursing home or similar setting
• SONAS Training highly desirable
• Be committed, patient and caring person with a sense of humour and a positive outlook
• Be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills to deliver our activity programmes

Duties of an Activities Assistant

• Plans, schedules, implements and evaluates a program of individual and/or group activities based on the resident’s needs at Coral Haven Nursing Home.
• Introduce and review resident activity assessments on a regular basis or on a needs change basis.
• Encourage involvement from the residents of Coral Haven Nursing Home.
• Establish an open relationship with each resident and encourage each resident to participate.
• Documents activity related information on the residents’ charts.
• Develop monthly calendar of planned activities.
