Applied Industrial Technologies is currently seeking and has an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Summer Internship – EHS Administrator/Coordinator at our Nisku or Edmonton, AB locations. The selected candidate will be part of our Applied Scholarship Program.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The overall purpose of the role EHS Administrator/Coordinator is to provide day to day support on H&S administrative functions, to review/update key EHS policies and procedures, and to contribute to the successful launch of our EHS Digital Platform. This individual will play an integral role in ensuring we achieve superior performance in health and safety!

Reporting to the Canadian EHS Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Assist with the creation, review, and updating of EHS manuals, forms training materials, programs, etc
• EHS administrative duties, reporting, and tracking as requested
• Conduct site inspections
• Assist with the development and launch of EHS New Hire Orientation process
• Active participation in team EHS meetings; support with meeting minutes and development of action items
• Development of Safety Training Matrix
• Assist in identifying preferred vendors and products for training
