Arlington County is seeking motivated and highly detailed Court Assistants to support a variety of administrative functions within the Clerk of the Circuit Court’s Office.

The ideal candidates will be highly detailed and demonstrate great levels of accuracy to perform the work. Due to the extensive interaction with people including attorneys, court personnel, and the general public, this position requires strong interpersonal skills to respond to a variety of individuals and situations.
Minimum:
Substitution: College education may substitute on a year-for-year basis for up to two years of the experience requirement.
Desirable: Preference may be given to candidates with experience in one or more of the following:
A pre-hire background check will be made on all candidates who qualify for this position. It may include checks of the following: criminal record, driving record, education, professional licensure and credit history. You will be required to sign a release authorizing the County to obtain your background information.

Work hours: The full-time position is a 40 hour a week position. Normal work hours are 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The part-time, overstrength position will have a flexible work schedule, generally Monday through Friday, four (4) hours per day. Specific day-time hours to be determined at time of hire and based on needs of the office.
