We Are Hiring

Ascension Seton has a Clinical Lab Assistant opening in their team! This is a wonderful opportunity for someone with healthcare experience or a natural science degree. Lab or Healthcare experience preferred but not necessary!

Hours: This could be Day or Night position. 7pm -7:30am, three days per week with alternating weekend. OR 7a -7:30pm. Monday, Tuesday and Friday and one weekend a month 12 hour shifts 3 days per week!

Location: 1201 West 38th St Austin, TX 78705

What You Will Do

Responsibilities:

• Assist with receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing and transporting specimens.

• Keep work area in a safe, aseptic and organized manner.

• Fulfill clerical duties which may include but are not limited to answering phones, data entry, and filing.

• Process specimens and perform record keeping duties as required by department.

• Maintain equipment and perform material management duties such as keeping supply inventories at optimum levels and transporting specimens, equipment and supplies.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Education:

• Medical Laboratory Assistant crendentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) Preferred

• Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) Preferred.

• High school diploma or GED required.

Additional Preferences

Lab Experience preferred

Natural Science degree preferred
