Dell Seton Medical Center has an opportunity for an Evening Medical Lab Technical Asst to join their team!

Work Schedule: Full Time 11am-11:30PM rotating weekends

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a bachelors degree in life science degree looking for Lab Experience.

Location: Dell Seton Medical Center 1500 Red River St, Austin, TX 78701

What You Will Do

Perform diagnostic/analytic testing of specimens.

• Perform patient testing, quality control, validations, linearities, equipment maintenance andtroubleshooting up to moderate complex under the supervision of a Medical Lab Scientist.

• Assist with analytic accuracy, precision, sensitivity and references for various test methods.

• Help with inventory management, ordering/restocking supplies.

• Assist with data collection, prepares reports, performs testing of information systems and/orinterfaces and special projects.

• Understand and participate in all aspects of clinical laboratory testing; pre-analytical, analyticaland post-analytical. May also collect, process and/or prepare specimens.

What You Will Need

Education:

• Associate’s degree in medical technology, medical laboratory scientist, or human sciences required.
