£24,293 – £26,497 per annum

Do you have demonstrable experience of working with young people in further or higher education (preferably both!)? Do you have experience of managing a team, mentoring young people, running events, linking up with young people to capture their feedback on a variety of issues? Do you have experience and an understanding of how a Student Union operates?

If so, you may be just what we are looking for!

We are looking to recruit to a brand new role within College to support our Residential Services Manager and the Student Union to deliver an outstanding student experience to both our residential and day students. The role will involve working with the SU to develop the team and overseeing their operational planning and budgeting. That will extend to the co-ordination with the SU of events throughout the year such as ’big ticket’ events, events that support our equality, diversity and inclusion agenda or opportunities to work with our local communities. We are also looking for someone who can effectively work with the SU and our student body to capture their views on student life and identify key areas for continuous improvement. Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England with centres in York, Middlesbrough, Saltaire, Wakefield and Newcastle.

We offer a wide-ranging curriculum to our Further Education students, including Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Management, Countryside and the Environment, Engineering, Equine, Floristry, Motorsport, Outdoor Adventure Sport, Sports Development, Coaching and Fitness, Uniformed Public Services and Veterinary Nursing.

We also have a thriving university centre at York offering a range of courses from Foundation degrees to Masters level.
