We are seeking a RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST in Wausau, WI at Aspirus Wausau Hospital who performs radiographic examinations of the highest possible quality while limiting radiation exposure and using conventional, fluoroscopic, portable and c-arm radiology equipment. Complies with measures to assure that patient/customer satisfaction results are consistently maintained. Appropriately supervises students according to competency level.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of radiology standards and procedures normally acquired through graduation from an approved radiology school, an Associate Degree in Radiology, or sufficient on the job training to meet State of Wisconsin Radiographer licensure requirements.
Previous applicable experience beneficial.
Possesses ability to work with physicians, departments, patients and the public in a cooperative, courteous and tactful manner, with good communication skills necessary to convey instructions to patients in order to gain cooperation and compliance, to gain necessary clinical information, and to convey patient information to nursing staff, physicians and co-workers.
Must have reading skills compatible with confirming patient identity and interpreting physician orders, and the ability to input and extract information from a computer.
LICENSURE
Possesses and maintains active ARRT(R) certification desired.
State of Wisconsin Licensed Radiographer license required.
Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
Hours: 8 full-time, 64 hours every 2 weeks. Weekends: 7a-5:30p, every other weekend: 7a-3:30p, 7 on 7 off rotation and holidays worked will be those the fall on the “7” shift
