ATF, INC. Hiring for PPAP Coordinator at Lincolnwood, IL Full Time

Summary

• Coordinate, prepare, and submit PPAP and prototype documents including PPAP-Re-certifications, PPAP-ECRs
• Prepare APQP documents: Control plans, PFMEAs, Flow diagram
• Coordinate and monitor steps needed to fabricate PPAP, Prototype, PPAP-ECR samples and PPAP-recertification to ensure completion of samples by the due date and compliance to customer requirements
• Ensure APQP documents meet the customer print requirements
• Perform dimensional layouts for PPAP, PPAP/ECR, and Prototypes samples
• Create or fill out other APQP documentation if required by the customer

Position Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor steps needed to complete PPAP, PPAP-ECR, PPAP-Recertification and Prototype submissions on time and to customer requirements
• Interpret blue prints and assure that all customer specifications are included on the control plan
• Prepare preliminary control plans for PPAP and PPAP/ECR parts in the ATF APQP format and a special format if required by the customer
• Prepare standard PFMEAs for PPAP and PPAP/ECR parts in the ATF format and a special format if required by the customer
• Ensure the Control plan, PFMEA, and flow diagram meet the customer print requirements (i.e. special characteristics, special testing, etc.)
• Prepare flow diagrams for PPAP and PPAP/ECR parts in the ATF APQP format and a special format if required by the customer
• Setup and coordinate sample and post samples meetings
• Create Yellow binder
• Update Control plans and PFMEAs after sample meetings
• Perform dimensional layouts
• Perform statistical studies for samples if required
• Obtain a raw material, heat treat, plate and other certifications for outside operations
• Perform other tasks as required by the customer or supervisor
• Compile all PPAP, PPAP/ECR, Prototype documents and review to assure we meet the customer print, specifications and other PPAP submission documents
• If PPAP samples are rejected, notify Supervisor

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Blue prints reading/Technical drawings reading
• Understanding advance dimensional metrology
• Understanding geometric tolerances
• Understanding SPC
• Computer skills (Excel, Word, Access, CMS)
• Knowledge of measuring gages (Micrometer, Caliper, Comparator, etc.)
• Excellent organization and follow – up skills

Education & Experience:

· High School diploma or the equivalent formal experience required.

· Minimum of 2 to 3 years in inspection field preferred.

· Equivalent of 2 to 3 years trade training.

· Experience in PPAP documentation in an automotive environment or at a fastener manufacturer.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
