Role: Backup Administrator

Role and Responsibilities

Extensive working knowledge and experience on Backup Devices, EMC Networker 8.2 , Server and Nodes configuration and troubleshooting skills.

Working Experience on EMC Data Domain Configuration with CIFS and NFS protocols, Troubleshooting, Data Domain DDBOOST with RMAN protocol configuration.

EMC Data Protection Advisor (DPA) Configuration, Reporting and Monitoring.

Backup Devices Networker, Data Domain Upgrading / Backup Data Migration, Troubleshooting Skills.

PowerShell/Shell/Perl Scripting Knowledge will be value-added.

Weekly/Monthly Backup Report Generation, Backup Capacity forecast/review skills.

Good communication. Thin and thick provisions, Deduplication, Compression, NetApp Snapmirror, Snapvault, Configuration and troubleshoot support skills. Understanding and troubleshooting Operation Systems, RedHat Linux, Suse Linux, GNU/Linux, Solaris and Windows 2008/2012.

Ability to interact and co-ordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Knowledge on Virtualization (VMware) .

Relevant 3-6 Years of Backup Administrator Experience with ITIL management
