Learn to Swim Instructor| Moana-Nui-a-Kiwa Pool and Leisure Centre
Here at Auckland Council, our leisure centres play a key role in achieving our goal of making Auckland the most active city in the world. And right now, we’re looking for Learn to Swim Instructors to join our Pool and Leisure Centres teams across Auckland to help achieve that goal!This is a fantastic job where you don’t need any formal qualifications or experience to apply – just a passion to work with our diverse community while also making a difference! We’ll provide the training you need to succeed in the role.
Day-to-day you could expect to work on:
We have 2 permanent part-time 6-hour opportunities available at our centres, with the possibility of picking up additional shifts.
You will need to be available for one weekday shift and one-weekend shift as follows:

You will be a great swimmer and instructor, have a love of water, have exceptional customer service skills, and be able to communicate well with members of the public.
Previous experience working with children would be beneficial.
If you do have a recognised swim teacher qualification or previous experience as a Swimming Instructor, that’d be fantastic. However, we will provide full, comprehensive training that you need to excel in the job.
To be considered for this role, you must also be willing to complete First Aid training.
