The DevOps Services section within the SIM program, enables and supports the Bureau across the whole spectrum of the software development life cycle. Our goal is to ensure that teams consistently release quality products into Bureau environments, meeting objectives aligned to the Bureau Strategy. DevOps Services is responsible for defining, supporting, and delivering the Bureau’s software development lifecycle framework, standard processes and practices, and automation tooling to ensure software is developed and deployed with an efficient, modern, high-quality, and secure approach.

We are seeking a highly talented and motivated Senior Software Engineer that possesses experience in architecting, developing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting software in both High-Performance Computing (HPC) and non-HPC environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of modern software development best practise as well as demonstrated experience using continuous integration platforms (GitLab-CI) for testing and release management.

This individual will require a drive to develop and maintain operational excellence with governance and processes within secure and mission critical environments.
You will be joining a highly innovative and talented section that contains both Software and DevOps Engineers, working on a wide range of projects supporting Bureau development and operational teams. This position will work Monday to Friday during business hours and will be required to provide rostered on-call, out of hours operational support to the HPC environment.
