Job Summary

Here at Avantor, we are looking for a Data Analyst to join us on our customer’s site in Westport on a fixed, twelve month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the site with their analysis of general consumption inside the operation, looking for ways to reduce cost and improve performance efficiency.

Working hours: Monday-Friday

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• You will coordinate all information management activities across the site including the warehouse and lab function, collating data and presenting findings back to the business as required

• Responsible for the SKU set up, using historical and current data to plan stock placement in the warehouse based on volume

• Perform data analysis based on consumption metrics, recommending actions based on insights gained from the analysis activity

• Actively engage with stakeholders of varying seniority to suggest process efficiencies and improvements, ultimately reducing costs

• Work with the procurement team to ensure that all buying and procuring activities are accurate in line with allocated business forecasts

What you’ll need to be successful at Avantor:

• Ideally, you will have an interest in science and the life science industry

• Previous experience in a data or business analyst role, where you can demonstrate data interpretations you have made to reduce cost

• Ability to work quickly and accurately to meet deadlines for completion of work under pressure

• Good English and Maths skills are essential to support you with reporting activities

• Outstanding communication skills. You will need the confidence to proactively interact with other departments to achieve results

• A valid driving license
