Job Summary

The Warehouse Staffing Assistant will perform general warehouse operations and support by acting as first line of assistance for our associates. Dependent on season, volume/size of the facility, may have specialized tasks or have a generalized role working in all departments.

Position Schedule

1. This position offers up to 40 hours per week.

2. Works Sunday – Thursday, Off Fridays & Saturdays

3. Required start times:

• Sunday & Wednesday: 3:30am start required
• Monday: 5:30am start required
• Tuesday & Thursday: Flexible

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Oversee the scheduling, assignment, and daily workflow of warehouse associates.

Responsibilities

• Coaches and assists with training of entry-level warehouse associates on the proper execution of warehouse duties, ensures policies and procedures are followed.
• Exhibits detailed knowledge of all warehouse roles and is qualified in all aspects of warehouse operations.
• Verifies that all scheduled associates have reported to work.
• Verifies and enters data into the system.
• Helps associate maintain condition of work area.
• Assists associates as needed to meet productivity and accuracy goals.
• Meets and greets all new associates on their first day and helps direct them to the right department

• Contributes to warehouse associate’s performance and development but does not have hiring/firing authority.
• Ability to quickly learn applicant tracking software or other recruiting systems.

Education and Experience

• Technical certification or associate degree preferred, or equivalent work experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
• Ability to make repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting.
