The role holder will be based in Cherrywood, Dublin 18, with a hybrid working arrangement.

About the role:
You will play a pivotal role supporting the IT Outsourcing Supplier Relationship Manager in ensuring IT Suppliers are managed in an effective manner, mitigating risks, and getting value from supplier contracts by driving forward service improvements in line with Aviva’s IT Strategy whilst supporting IT spend management. Additionally, you’ll uphold the oversight of strategic suppliers’ IT service including risk and control management in line with established IT and security frameworks, service level management and driving continuous improvement acting as an escalation point for any service related issues.
Key aspects of the role:
Supporting the management of IT Suppliers in line with the Aviva Procurement and Outsourcing standard
Responsible for ensuring supplier risks and controls are managed appropriately using Aviva applications with minimal impact to customers and internal and external risk reporting requirements are fulfilled, including audits & facilitating supplier governance committees
Supporting the IT Outsourcing Supplier Relationship Manager to ensure the supplier meets their service obligations and ensuring suppliers have appropriate controls in place to mitigate risks with due consideration to commercial and customer implications
Support the management of IT Budget including creating annual budget and forecasting models & variance analysis reporting
Managing PO lifecycle in line with the P2P policy.
Managing month end process close off in line with reporting deadlines
Skills and experience required:
The candidate must have a very strong analytical background and be able to demonstrate experience of interpreting and analysing large volumes of data, have strong IT and systems capability, with particular emphasis on Excel, Powerpoint and MS office suite
Experience of supplier risk and control management in financial services or other regulated industries
Experience in relationship management type role
Good interpersonal skills – succinct, clear communicator
Ability to multi task and support a wide supplier portfolio & able to effectively influence and collaborate with key stakeholders
A customer first mindset constantly looking for opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
Ownership and determination to get the job done and produce high quality outcomes
Prior experience of being involved in the end-to-end process of preparing budgets and forecasting activities.
Requirements:
Extensive experience in a relevant/ similar position to the one described above
Third degree in a relevant discipline (Business Degree etc)
High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
Excellent IT/ systems skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
Adaptable to change and comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast-paced demanding environment
Results driven with a positive attitude
