BAE Systems, one of the world s leading defense contractors and a well-established Fortune 500 Company, is currently recruiting for a passionate Instructional Designer & Training Facilitator to join our Procurement team in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The eLearning Designer and Trainer will support a team of Supply Chain Professionals in creating engaging learning content to support them in the work they do to support our mission of being trusted, innovative, and bold, in the global defense industry. In this exciting role, the desired candidate will:

• Create eLearning content to support team members in having the knowledge, tools, and resources, to effectively do their work;

• Define, document, and maintain the scope of all learning project plans;

• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to create online learning courses and instructor-led training to support department and cross-functional training needs;

• Facilitate Train-the-Trainer events for team leads to better equip them to train their teams and thus, scale the learning effort;

• Conduct effective needs analysis in efforts to determine appropriate learning solutions to business challenges;

• Assist in designing a learning curriculum which supports Company performance objectives;

• Implement methods to effectively evaluate the learning outcomes of Learners to support an agile learning process;

• Design and deliver courses that have active learning elements to engage Learners in keeping with a strong, internal training philosophy; and,

• Demonstrate the ability to optimize the use of a Learning Management System for hosting course content.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• 4 Years with Bachelor’s of Science/Bachelor’s of Arts in Training and Development or a related discipline

Proven ability and experience in the following areas:

• Applying Instructional Design concepts and adult learning principles to create online and instructor-led training and development programs;

• Experience with Adobe Captivate and Adobe Creative Cloud (i.e., Photoshop, Lightroom) or other e-learning software;

• Project Management skills;

• Excellent written and oral communication;

• Connecting learning objectives to key business objectives to increase Learners knowledge;

• Teamwork, and building relationships with cross-functional teams;

• A self-starter efficient in managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, results oriented, and data-drive environment;

• Effective training needs analysis;

• ADDIE/Agile/Learning frameworks experience; and,

• Data analysis in Excel.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Master’s of Science/Master’s of Arts degree in Instructional Design, Training, or a related discipline

• Knowledge management;

• Ability to interpret data and draw conclusions;

• Advanced PowerPoint; and,

• Facilitating training in “live” online settings and in the classroom.
