Job Description:*$$ Sign on bonus available $$Part time 24 weekly hours, day shift, benefits eligibleAbout the Unit:The twenty-four-bed Neuroscience unit offers specialized nursing assessment and care to patients with both neurological and neurosurgical diagnoses. Typical patients include those with a diagnosis of stroke, post-op craniotomy, post-op discectomy and other back surgeries, as well as post-cerebral embolization. Unit nursing care is complemented by the expertise of two Neuroscience Coordinators. New Graduate Nurses are welcome.Job Duties:The Neuro Spine Nurse assesses and identifies patient needs and implements appropriate interventions for the neuro patient. The Nurse establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; and performs technical aspects of care competently. Neuroscience nurses must have strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail in order to stay atop changing patient conditions.
