Barasch McGarry Salzman & Penson Hiring for Mail Clerk/Mail Handler at New York, NY Full Time

The person filling this position is expected, under general direction, to:

• Direct report to Mailroom Manager
• Pickup Mail at local PO nearby
• Sort Mail and Place in Mail Cubbies
• Scanning of Mail, this involves possibly removing staples, paper clips, post it notes, from mail items. Then placing mail on copier/scanner and pressing a few buttons to scan it. Then the original documents are either filed physically, given to staff, or placed in the shredding bin.
• Daily Reports of what was scanned
• Drop off Mail and/or FedEx at nearby locations.
• Assembling documents/brochures. (This involves printing large quantities of various documents, assembling them in a specific order, placing them in folders)
• Work with other members of mail/file team with other tasks
• File Clerk – Pulling / Filing folders in filing cabinets.
• Logging/Scanning of Files.
• Replenishing Kitchen supplies (Coffee pods, cups, milk,etc).
• (No cleaning duties, as we have a cleaning crew that comes in daily)
• This will be a full-time job with OT available.
• We can be flexible with working hours, but punctuality is a must.
• All company travel is reimbursed, MetroCard provided.
• We will provide full paid training on all mail and copier equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
