Barna Recycling Hiring for General Operative/Office Administrator Job at Ballaghaderreen , Ireland Full Time

Role Summary:

Barna Recycling are seeking a General Operative/Office Administrator in our depot in Ballaghaderreen. The Depot is a fast-paced environment, and we are seeking individual to join the team working in our yard while occasionally covering Weighbridge/Office administrative duties. Administrative experience and/or License/Certification in either 360 grab, forklift, loading shovel and Teleporter are a distinct advantage but not strictly necessary for the role.

Responsibilities:

• Collecting and processing recyclables from material delivered into recycling shed in bulk or in skips
• Communicate plant and vehicle maintenance or safety issues
• Identify and report any material that would affect the quality of the recyclable material
• Operate plant and equipment as directed
• Other miscellaneous tasks that ensure the effective operation of the waste transfer station and recycling facility
• Carry out tasks in a safe and efficient manner to ensure maximum recycling
• Managing the administration of the weighbridge office
• Ensure the controlling of receipts and recording same in cash book for eventual lodgment
• Assist in filing of paperwork to prevent accumulation
• To carry out other miscellaneous duties

Skills and Experience required:

• Experience working in similar environment is a distinct advantage
• Experience in administration
• Flexibility with regard to working varying shifts in line with business needs
• Good communication skills
• Tickets for plant machinery (360 Grab; Loading shovel; Teleport; Forklift) a distinct advantage but not strictly necessary
• A valid Safe Pass Card is an advantage

Terms:

• Hours: 45 hours per week – and shifts vary between 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. / 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Required to work Saturdays and Public holidays on occasion
• 3-month fixed term contract
