Loadout Clay Unloader – 2103767 – Attapulgus, GA

Role Objective: Using normally available resources such as Process Orders, Procedures, and notes be able to address the following items. Memorization is not required or expected. Each section must be signed off after it is fully completed. Sections can be completed in any order as chosen by the operator. Perform other tasks as assigned by management. Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Job duties include but are not limited to:
INSIDE DUTIES

• Complete Safety shift inspection checklists for the inside area and at #1 & 2 blenders.
• Work as a team with the outside operator to insure all the Shift Safety inspections are completed. Operate all load out systems, Blenders, clay unloading systems and any other equipment needed to perform the Load out/Clay unloading jobs with the Wonderware DCS system.
• Direct and assist with the outside duties associated with all load out systems, Blenders, Clay unloading systems, connecting railcars, backing trucks into position to unload and load, making minor repairs to equipment and any other work associated with the Load out/Clay unloading operation.
• Work as a Team with the outside operator to accomplish these tasks. W ork with the outside operator to troubleshoot blenders and loadout systems and other equipment as needed.
• Schedule and direct truck drivers from the staging areas and truck stops using telephones, CB radio and plant radios, including properly spotting trucks per procedures.
• Process, complete and maintain all paperwork and computer work associated with load out, receiving and shipments.
• Assist with pre and post for loading and unloading.
• Communicate and interact with the Security guards to stage or spot any incoming trucks and any issue’s pertaining to the logistics area.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in and around the load out office area and assist in housekeeping in any outside areas as needed or directed by the Team Leader.
• Send e-mail notification on any repairs needed to the Team Leader, Production Specialist & all operators in the area.
• Assist Outside Load out operator if needed to Load out bulk trucks at #1, 2 & 4 blenders including pre and post inspections of trucks and railcars.
• Assist in connecting trucks and rail cars for unloading and loading to Blenders, Bins and silos, as needed. Work with any member of the Logistics/MBC/Rare Earth team and the rail road to spot rail cars primarily for #1, 2 & 4 Blenders. This includes operating the track mobile, as needed. Assist with any sampling needed the Load out/Clay Unloading process, as needed.
• Assist in changing blanks where needed for the Load out/Clay Unloading process, and alignment of automatic valves in the field, as needed. Identifying and repairing system leaks (or properly communicating needed repairs to the PTL) on Blenders #1 & #2, and assisting, as needed on other equipment.
• Work as a team with the outside operator to set priorities on work load and to accomplish work load as scheduled. Collaborate with Team Leader if needed to set priorities. OUTSIDE DUTIES
• Complete Safety shift inspection checklists for all outside areas and all inside satellite areas (with the primary responsibility for Blender 1 & 2 being with the inside operator). Work as a team with the inside operator to insure all the Shift Safety inspections are completed.
• Assist with Operating all load out systems, Blenders, clay unloading systems and any other equipment needed to perform the Load out/Clay unloading jobs with the Wonderware DCS system as needed to get the work load accomplished for the area.
• Perform all the duties on the outside associated with all the load out systems, Blenders, Clay unloading systems, connecting railcars, backing trucks into position to unload and load, making minor repairs to equipment and any other work associated with the Load out/Clay unloading operation. Work as a Team with the inside operator to accomplish these tasks.
• Work with inside operator to troubleshoot blenders and load out systems and any other equipment needed.
• Assist with scheduling and directing truck drivers from staging area, truck stops using telephone, CB radio, plant radios and golf carts to talk to drivers, including properly spotting trucks per procedures.
• Perform inspections, retrieving and delivering paper work to needed destinations. Assist with processing, completing, and maintaining all associated paperwork and computer work with load out, receiving and shipments.
• Communicate and interact with Security Guards to stage or spot any incoming trucks and any issue’s pertaining to the logistics area.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in any loading or unloading areas and assist with any inside housekeeping or any housekeeping area as directed by the Team Leader
• Send e-mail notification on any repairs needed to the Team Leader, Production Specialist & all operators in the area.
• Load out bulk trucks at #1,2 & 4 load out including pre and post inspections of trucks and railcars
• Connect all trucks and rail cars for unloading and loading to Blenders, bins and silos, and serve as the primary person to operate rail switch at the rail tracks (using other qualified BASF Employee’s to assist).
• Work with any member of the Logistics/MBC/Rare Earth team and the railroad to spot rail cars at any location in the plant. This includes operating the track mobile.
• Perform all Sampling needed in the Load out/Clay Unloading process.
• Change blanks where needed for the Load out/Clay Unloading process, and verification of silo destinations, identifying and repairing system leaks (or properly communicating needed repairs to the PTL).
• Work as a team with the inside operator to set priorities on work load and to accomplish work load as scheduled. Collaborate with Team Leader if needed to set priorities.

SHARED DUTIES

• Perform any duties as required by assigned Team Leader or member of Management. Routinely participate in area housekeeping audits with Team Leaders and Management. Follow direction from Blend coordinators notes and interact with Blend coordinator as needed.
• Understand, monitor and operate within process safety operational guidelines and report process safety incidents. Complete process safety training as required by company.
