This role is an integral post within Student Wellbeing Services providing support with, and case management of, student issues relating to general wellbeing; homesickness, transition, money management and budgeting and low-level psychological distress, as well as facilitating appropriate referrals to more specialist advice and services where necessary.
The Student Wellbeing Advisors play a key role in enhancing the student experience by providing a high quality, customer-focussed service to all who access Student Wellbeing Services and also act as the lead contacts for students from priority groups, including care leavers, Foyer leavers, students estranged from family, and young adult carers.
About you (requirements)
You will be an enthusiastic individual who takes an agile approach to their work and is comfortable working in a busy and at times challenging working environment. You will have experience of working in an advice and guidance context and demonstrate excellent understanding of what is required to ensure consistently high levels of customer service.
You will be used to managing a varied caseload; interacting with a wide range of stakeholders and have excellent communication skills. You will be a team player, with the ability to work on your own initiative, taking a proactive and measured approach.
