Beachside Medical Centre Hiring for Medical Office Assistant Job at Windsor Full Time

Beachside Medical Centre is situated in Lakeshore Ontario. The family practice opened in 2022 and is staffed by five physicians.

Position: Medical Office Assistant, Full time

Description: Reporting to the physicians, the Medical Office Assistant will provide exceptional customer service to patients of Beachside Medical Centre, as well as provide administrative support.

Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5 pm, Friday 8:00 am – 2:00 pm

Job start is in March 2023

Responsibilities:

• Follow the privacy and confidentiality act with extreme care
• Greet and assist persons entering facility in a friendly and approachable manner
• Check in patients and accommodate any questions
• Manage telephone – Incoming and outgoing calls
• Schedule appointments – telephone and in person – for all patients of the clinic via EMR software
• Notify patients with appointment info
• Monitoring Incoming/ Outgoing EMR faxes
• Outstanding Referrals – tracking outgoing and incoming
• 3rd Party – Invoicing/ reconciliation
• Insurance/ Legal medical records requests
• General Admin – photocopying, filing, tasks
• Follow up to appointments and referrals
• Closing Office
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Medical Office Assistant Program is an asset
• Presents a friendly and positive attitude in dealing with patients and staff
• A team player that demonstrates excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, with both staff and patients
• Displays organizational and time management skills
• Must be adept in the use of Microsoft Office, internet and email, experience with PSS software would be an asset
