At Beca, we offer a range of professional services to our airport clients, including feasibility studies, master planning, airfield layout planning, airfield asset management advice, and scoping, design and management of civil engineering projects. We work with airports across New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific and are looking for passionate and motivated people with one or more of the following skillsets:

• Airport planning, including an understanding of airport operations and regulations.
• Airfield layout planning, including experience with Aviplan and AutoCAD software and airfield design principles.
• Geometric design, including 3D design software such as Civil3D or 12D.
• OLS modelling and analysis.
• Civil engineering design of aircraft pavements and airside infrastructure.
• Engineering project management and delivery.
• A good general knowledge of airport operations and aviation.

While the delivery of civil infrastructure projects remains the backbone of our airports business, the aviation sector is changing. Sustainable solutions are already a primary focus of modern airport projects, and the need to adapt further to change is becoming more urgent. Over the next decade, we are anticipating increased demand for alternative fuel infrastructure, a focus on improved engagement with airports, iwi and their stakeholders, continued upgrades and improvement of aging civil infrastructure, growth of regional centres, changes to airline fleets and networks, and a need for circular design and sustainable solutions for airport development and maintenance.

We want to adapt alongside our airport clients to support them through these changes. That starts with having the right team who are motivated to stay up to date with aviation industry trends, think creatively to implement solutions, and understand and consistently deliver to our client’s needs.
