Description: A leadership position with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available in Lexington KY. This job is a full-time direct position. To be considered, you will need Bachelor”s Degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience. In this role, you will provide leadership for a group of structural analysts in support of a wide variety of designs utilizing advanced analytical and FEM tools.

Lead Structural Analyst job duties:

• Perform structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as classical hand stress analysis methods

• Provides technical leadership to a team of engineers

• Interact and be the primary point of contact with Belcan”s customers

• Lead technical proposal preparations and participate as a subject matter expert in internal design and customer reviews

• Reviews time tickets, yearly performance reviews, and salary expectations

• Participation in interviewing new engineers

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor”s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent

• 5+ years of structural analysis experience of turbine engine hot section or cold section components using Ansys and classical hand calculations

• Strong understanding of static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis

• Leadership and mentoring experience

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Must have strong organization and interpersonal skills

• Due to the nature of our work US Citizenship is required

• Travel to customer locations and/or Belcan locations as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in engineering leadership in multiple-discipline environment

• Familiarity with Pratt & Whitney tools and procedures

• Experience with software and programing languages (VBA, Python, etc.)
