Job Description

• Blue Ridge Construction, Inc. has been in operations since 1986. The current controlling owner has been with the company since 1997. Based in Colorado Springs, Blue Ridge specializes in medium sized public works projects mainly focused in their home town. The company has developed concrete paving, concrete rehabilitation, excavation, pipe-laying/utility installation, bridges, structures, earthwork, proper execution and management as their areas of expertise.

Salary Range: $71000.00 – $75000.00 per year

Responsibilities

• Organizing and filing all supporting documentation
• Reconciling invoices and payments to Xero Accounting for specific entities in the Group
• Assisting with banking transactions, including managing collections, disbursements, and draws
• Complete bookkeeping and all bank reconciliations monthly for all entities in the Group
• Prepare and examine accounting records, internal financial statements, and other financial reports
• Create invoices, follow-up with receivables, and budget future cash flows.
• Arrange payments, issue cheques and monitor accounts payable and purchases.
• Read and Understand project related contracts (Understand billings & collections per project).

Requirements

• 1-2 years of previous experience with accounting and basic knowledge of GAAP
• Detail and deadline-oriented
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
