BOEING Hiring for DevOps Engineer Job at Williamtown, Australia Full Time

Do you want to be part of designing upgrades to world-class airborne and ground-based Air Battle Management Systems in service with the RAAF?

The Opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia’s (BDA) is currently looking for conscientious DevOps Software Engineers. Working within the Mission Systems and Ground Segments Capability, you will be part of the team that enhance and sustain operational software on platforms such as the Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) E-7A and the Wakulda Air Battle Management System (ABMS).

Responsibilities

Working in the role you will have the opportunity to:

• Work as part of a team to build, deploy and configure new tools and applications used as part of the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipeline.
• Developing and maintaining a software configuration management environment. Mentoring DevOps and SysOps personnel on best practices.
• Work as part of a team in security planning and implementation into a continuous integration/deployment cycle.
• Work with developers to setup and configure new automated build and test processes.

Experience/Qualifications

We’d love if you have prior experience in the IT industry where you gained familiarity with DevOps, building CI/CD pipelines and software development and configuration management tools such as Git, Ansible, Jenkins and scripting.

You’ll be supporting an environment that has security considerations and is both Linux and Windows based, so virtualisation and networking knowledge is a big bonus.

The ability to communicate and collaborate with a diverse team, in a conscientious and inclusive way is valued by our team.
