The Payroll/Human Resources Assistant will play an integral role in continued growth and success within our entities. This position will be responsible for a variety of highly sensitive and confidential information. You will be responsible for processing weekly inhouse payroll and participating with the many Human Resources processes. Being able to work independently and collaborating with different managers within the organization to prioritize a diverse workload.
Essential Job Functions:
o Process inhouse weekly payroll for 5 entities, total of approximately 200 employees.
o Process inhouse payroll tax files for all entities, which includes weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end filings.
o Onboarding of new hires
o Data entry into the HR system
o Participate in special projects and initiatives that are HR related (i.e., annual benefit enrollment, company functions).
o Other assigned duties as requested
Qualifications:
o Associates Degree (Preferred)
o Must have 2+ years of in-house payroll experience preferably in construction
o Ability to quickly assess issues and relevant information to make effective decisions
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Advanced recent experience in Excel
o Ability to work with minimal direction, as well as resourceful and independent problem-solving skills
o Experience in handling sensitive/confidential information

Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
