What we are looking for:

BreatheSuite is building a team of US- and Canada-based Telerespiratory Therapists to remotely deliver pulmonary care and support using BreatheSuite’s first-of-its-kind technology. We are looking to hire multiple Therapists – work is contractual, as needed, and flexible with your schedule! BreatheSuite’s Telerespiratory Therapists are energetic, passionate individuals who enjoy working with people with chronic respiratory conditions to make lasting change in their lives. They have a proven track record of facilitating sessions with patients in person and/or virtually, providing education and behavioral change tactics to reduce or eliminate behaviors that are considered high-risk, helping clients create and implement effective solutions to improve their health and wellness. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Connect with and coach patients via phone or online meeting platform;
• Complete intake assessments and compose detailed care plans for each patient;
• Monitor patient care plans, inhaler use and technique;
• Recommend proper respiratory therapy modalities per patient situation;
• Facilitate COPD and/or Asthma support groups;
• Facilitate training for users on BreatheSuite’s device and application;
• Document and submit call tracking and other required business forms;
• Adhere to US and Canadian patient privacy regulations;
• Ultimately, drive better health outcomes for asthma & COPD patients.

Education & Work Experience Expectations:

• Practicing as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for at least five years.
• Certified Respiratory Educator (CRE), Certified Asthma Educator (AE-C) or an equivalent certification a plus.
  
• At least three years of experience in bedside critical care respiratory therapy practice and/or teaching in a Pulmonary Rehabilitation program.
• Experience in coaching and behaviour change is a significant asset.
• Demonstrates a commitment to clients and a willingness to go above and beyond normal responsibilities to provide the best care possible.
• Exhibits effective communication skills for working with clients, their families and their healthcare providers.
• Listening skills and empathy are at the heart of this role.
• Demonstrates innovation and keen interest in medical technology and digital health. Must be comfortable with technology.
• Works well independently and with minimal direction when required.
• Looking for some candidates to be bilingual and able to deliver services in English and French.
