ADMINISTRATIVE ASSOCIATE
Salary Classification IV. Annual Work Year: 12 Months
GENERAL SUMMARY
Performs administrative and office support activities for multiple supervisors. Duties include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, and filing. Extensive software skills are required, as well as Internet research abilities and strong communication skills. Responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. Support administration and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. You will communicate via phone and email ensuring that all administration tasks are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner. Successful candidates will have excellent customer service and must be outcome-oriented. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail is essential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Provide general support to visitors. Provide information by answering questions.
- Organize and schedule meetings and appointments.
- Maintain workflow.
- Produce and distribute correspondence, memos, emails, and letters.
- Maintain supplies inventory.
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
- Develop and maintain a filing system.
- Book conference, workshop and travel arrangements as needed.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results.

- Must be computer proficient
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven administrative or assistant experience

- Bilingual preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 20 lbs. on a minimal to regular basis
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Full-time monthly compensation listed on District website (www.brisbanesd.org) : 12month Classified Employees, Class IV. Actual salary will be pro-rated based on employment percentage. Placement on the salary schedule will be determined by the Superintendent based on prior experience.
The individual in this position will enjoy fifteen (15) paid holidays per year in addition to earned sick leave and vacation. The District contributes a pro-rated amount towards monthly health insurance, including vision and dental insurance. The person hired for this position will be eligible to participate in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) program.
