About You
We’re looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team Briteweb as part of the Finance & Operations team. In this position, you will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, Visa transactions & reconciliations, expense reports, and various data entries. Plus you will get to work alongside both the finance and operations teams.
Accounting 70%
Pull, reconcile and file receipts from our shared email accounts
Scan, file, deposit client cheques
Manage company credit card transactions
Manage & input client cheques into Harvest and QuickBooks
Pull various financial reports
Create invoicing expense reports
Data entry for various spreadsheets on a monthly basis
Support the Director of Finance in compiling data with all subscription costs that are accrued on the BW account
Input all recurring expenses into QuickBooks
Assist with Briteweb client Invoicing
Assist with contractor invoice review & accounts payable entries
Assist Director of Finance with ad hoc tasks
Office Amin 30%
Manage technology, office equipment, supplies & catering orders
Office Duties including shipping, work station organization & incoming mail
Go through multiple email accounts for receipts and applicable responses
Office Supply ordering and tracking
Swag ordering and tracking
Operate as the main point of contact for all Briteweb vendors
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Excellent computer skills (Google Suite experience a plus)
Experience in accounting software (Quickbooks Online a plus)
Good understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
Strong analytical thinking, data management and administrative skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Organizational and time-management skills
Strong communication skills with a problem-solving attitude
Effective team player and self-starter
Post-secondary accounting education is required
Must have a minimum one year of related full-time accounting experience
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
The Fun Stuff
This is a hybrid position between working in an office and remotely.
We’ll set you up with everything you need to work from home but we also expect you to come into the office 3 days a week
This position offers an annual salary, and an extended benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision.
Employee Profit Share Bonuses paid annually based on Fiscal Year
Health and Wellness Budget – $2,000 Annually
3 weeks vacation plus Holiday office closure in December
Full-time, Permanent, Monday to Friday 9:00AM – 5:00PM PST
Annual salary base between $45,000-$50,000
Location: Vancouver, BC
