Community Education delivers free confidence-building workshops to over 100,000 people across the UK every year. Could you join our team and ensure our service is delivered effectively, consistently and exceeds quality standards?

We have an exciting role for a Community Education Coordinator to join our team. In this role no two days will be the same, you will have the freedom to explore potential partnerships and travel to a variety of venues to deliver workshops.

The workshops we deliver range from teaching first aid and empathy to young people, to supporting adults with tackling loneliness. You’ll be making a tangible difference to the people you support and will be able to shape our service. Additionally, you will manage external partnerships and relationships as well as supporting the implementation of externally funded projects. You will also support with the recruitment and development of volunteers across the greater Glasgow area to increase the British Red Cross geographical footprint and capacity within communities. You’ll ensure that we are delivering the best service possible.

This is a great opportunity to make a real impact through facilitated learning. You will be helping us better equip thousands of people to cope and take action in the event of a crisis.

Please note, this is a need-led role where we react to the needs of our service users. So whilst the core hours for this role are 9am to 5pm, some flexibility may be required to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

Our education offer has been developed for those with an increased risk of experiencing a crisis. We’ve designed our service to develop people’s individual and community resilience; delivering vital skills that help people effectively cope with and take action in a crisis.

We want everyone in the UK to have the opportunity to learn first aid/education, and identified risk groups to have the skills and confidence to be able to cope in a crisis, so they can help themselves and others.
