Job Title: Temporary Child Health Worker
Salary: £10.02 per hour
Reporting to: Family Work Coordinator
Location: Lisburn Sure Start Area
Hours of work: 16 hours per week (Monday – Thursday)
Contract: Commencing 01 September 2022 – 31 March 2023 (Maternity Cover)
JOB PURPOSE:
The role will be to provide Health and Well-Being services, in a sensitive and nondiscriminatory manner, to parents and families with children 0 – 3 yrs living within the Lisburn Sure Start catchment area including the temporary expansion of services into Hilden.
The post holder will play a key role in supporting parents to make informed decisions about their own and their children’s health and well-being. This will include both antenatal and post-natal home visiting, in addition to the delivery of programmes within the Sure Start area.
The postholder will develop strong partnership links with core health visiting and midwifery services. An ability to adapt to change is essential as is the flexibility and a willingness to work across all Bangor Sure Start services, as necessary.

Holidays: 12 Statutory days
20 Annual leave days (Pro Rata)
Probationary Period: 6 months
Notice: 1 month
