Food Safety Graduate Employment – Permanent

Based in BWG Head Office and reporting to the Technical Manager, the successful candidate will help identify and document business requirements to assist in the implementation of solutions and processes as part of the Graduate Employment

Key responsibilities will include:

• Monitor supplier approval programme and maintain BWG Approved Supplier List.
• Assist on food safety training within the BWG business as necessary.
• Maintenance and knowledge and understanding of food safety management and quality system for all retail stores within the BWG estate.
• Audit stores for compliance with relevant standards
• Recall coordinator team lead for all food product recalls and withdrawals that come through the business to ensure efficient and effective action is taken by the business
• Control of allergen data for provision of information as required by customer base to ensure compliance with 1169/2011 (FIC Regulations).
• Customer complaints (food safety) liaison to expedite the speedy resolution of issues and follow-up corrective action to eliminate/reduce reoccurrence.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Educated to undergraduate honours degree level in a relevant discipline
• Achievement of a 2.1 (or equivalent) in their chosen field of study preferred
• Strong interpersonal, numeracy and communication skills

• Strong I.T. skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and the ability to adapt to new systems

• The ability to constructively and respectfully challenge the status quo through the pursuit of improvement
