California Closets Hiring for Independent Contractor- Jr. Project Manager at Remote Full Time

JOB TITLE: Jr Project Manager, Creative Projects- Marketing

REPORTS TO: Director of Creative Projects

LOCATION: Remote- must be willing to work PST business hours

STATUS: Independent Contractor

COMPENSATION: $40/hr

DURATION: Approximately 3 months

The Jr. Project Manager, Creative Projects is responsible for maintaining our system of organizing and tracking the Marketing Departments’ creative projects and priorities, utilizing our internal project management software’s. In partnership with the Director of Creative Projects, the PM will be tasked with keeping team members on track of milestones and communicating with our internal and external partners in order to facilitate progress and delivery of projects on time.

Responsibilities will also include specific deliverables assigned to the PM, including the scheduling of photoshoots, management of assets created from photoshoots, color corrections, retouching, tagging, distribution, legal ownership, and ensuring proper use of the assets.

Skills and Qualifications

• 2+ years of project management experience in a marketing or creative department
• 2+ years’ experience with photo shoot planning including production schedules, shot lists, and retouching.
• Knowledge of creative processes and the ability to provide time estimates for project work.
• Familiarity and proficiency in a range of project management software, such as Dropbox, Monday, PageProof, Jira, and Slack
• Experience using a Digital Asset Management system (Widen) and assigning metadata
• Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign
• Excellent time management skills

Key Responsibilities

• In partnership with the Director of Creative Projects, manages the creative project request system for the corporate marketing team.
• Work closely with marketing stakeholders to understand deliverables, and prioritization, develop project schedules, and maintain those schedules throughout the production process as deliverables are revised and amended.
• Schedule all internal and external creative review and feedback meetings, from initial project briefing through final approval.
• Produces photo shoots as needed for product shots or special projects, including shot lists and production schedules
• Together with the Sr. Director of PR and Social Media Manager, acts as primary liaison between California Closets and various photographers regarding new photography, photoshoots, retouching, file delivery, and usage rights.
• Acts as a resource for cropping, color correcting, and retouching images in the requested formats to various departments and/or team members.
• Maintains accurate procedures and records for the system
